Meeting of Statistics Officials from Public Employment Services of the Western Balkan Economies

21 June 2017

The aim of the meeting organised by the Regional Cooperation Council’s (RCC) project Employment and Social Affairs Platform (ESAP) is to discuss and agree on a set of quantitative indicators to be collected for the Western Balkan Public Employment Services (PES) benchmarking analysis.

PES officials, together with the RCC and ILO experts, will work together to refine the definitions and measurement procedures for the selected indicators and additional relevant and available ones. The final list of proposed indicators will be shared with the Western Balkan PES offices for approval.

The regional project ‘Employment and Social Affairs Platform’ (ESAP), which  began its implementation in March 2016 and will last for 3 years, is a regional project financed by the European Commission and jointly implemented by RCC and ILO (International Labour Organisation) in the Western Balkan economies. The project aims to strengthen regional cooperation and institutional capacities of national administrations, employers’ and workers’ organisations, enabling them to develop and effectively implement labour market and social policy reforms in their EU accession process.
