Western Balkans' preparing for the 2nd Digital Summit

As the preparations for the upcoming second Western Balkans Digital Summit (WB DS 2019) progress, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and partners continue defining the final concept of the event, covering all important topics and areas in order to build another successful event that is to take place in Belgrade on 4-5 April. 

The 3rd Western Balkans Digital Summit Steering Committee meeting is to be organized in Belgrade on 19 February in cooperation with the Host – Serbian Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication and the Office for Information Technologies and e-Government of the Government of Serbia; The European Commission (EC) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. 

Organizers and partners will present recent achievements in the preparatory process, finalize a full concept of the WB DS 2019, including the agenda of the two-day summit, side and satellite events, venue, content, roles and responsibilities, etc.

The first ever Western Balkans Digital Summit, held in Skopje last year brought together Prime Ministers and Ministers responsible for digital agenda from the Western Balkans (WB), EU Berlin Process participants, European Commission (EC), Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), representatives of IT industries and businesses, academia and youth. 

The Digital Summit is one of the Digital Integration components of the RCC-developed Multi-Annual Action Plan on a Regional Economic Area (MAP REA) for the WB6 and is envisaged as an annual event that is to combine existing efforts and develop cooperation among the region's economies in building common digital future.
