Regional Conference: Progress of Roma Integration in the Western Balkans’ Societies

Regional Conference Decade of Roma Inclusion: Legacy, Lessons Learned, Best Practices and what to Do Next tackling the progress made in the integration of Roma population in the Western Balkans (WB) will take place in Belgrade, Serbia 20-21 June 2019.

The Conference, jointly organised by the Regional Cooperation Council’s (RCC) Roma Integration project, Government of Serbia, Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Belgrade, OSCE Mission to Serbia and other partners, will try to address the key challenges of Roma integration process in the region: non-discrimination, status of Roma women, education and employment, housing and health.

The participants, coming from the governments, non-governmental and international organisations and local communities are expected to forward conclusions agreed at the Conference to the WB Governments, to be taken into consideration when designing future measures for the effective integration of Roma in the enlargement region.
