Policy Recommendations from the First National Platform on Roma Integration in Turkey (Ankara, 2017)

The National Platform on Roma Integration in Turkey was held on 13 September 2017 in Ankara, with around 60 participants, including relevant officials from the line ministries and other institutions, Roma and pro-Roma civil society organizations, representatives of international organizations and media. The representatives of the institutions presented the 2016 annual report on the implementation of the Roma integration policy in Turkey, followed by the civil society view on the issue. The policy paper resulting from the discussions at the National Platform includes an overview of the discussions with conclusions and recommendations for further steps.
