| Description | Establishment of a regional network of biodiversity-related CSOs promotes democratic development and strengthens the cooperation and dialogue between local authorities, national governments, civil society, private sector and international governmental and non-governmental organizations conducive to nature conservation as key element of sustainable development. Objective: ensure that the regional co-operation capacities of the qualified biodiversity related CSOs in SEE are strengthened Results expected: • A regional network of qualified biodiversity-related CSOs (BioNET) is established in SEE. • The capacities of the BioNET member organizations for integrated nature conservation and ecosystem management have been strengthened Specific activities in two fields of intervention are envisaged, hence enabling environment for increased CSOs’ contribution towards implementation of the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2020 and the Strategic Plan of the Convention on Biological Diversity 2011-2020.
