Description | The objective of the project will be to improve regional cooperation in the area of investments dispute resolution. During the implementation of the project some of the expected results are: Legal Practitioners from SEE countries are aware of recent legal discussing in UNCITRAL and are contributing to it. Through participation at the Pre-Moot and the Vis Moot, students and professor will be exposed to the latest development in the area of arbitration. By participating in roundtables, conferences and forums, legal practitioners will be exposed to UNICTRAL work and discussions. SEE Countries have a stronger presence at UNCITRAL Secretariat. The countries of the SEE have adopted some of the UNICTRAL texts in ADR but in most of the cases have not been part of the drafting process, this is why through participation in at least one of the Commission or Working Sessions, countries will be aware of the discussions level and the process of drafting an UNICTRAL text and might contribute. Countries express willingness to adopt the UN Convention on Transparency in Treaty Bases Investment Arbitration. Regional workshops, round tables of governmental official with UNICTRAL representatives, and conferences are instruments that will be used to expose governments to the Convention and the positive impact of adopting it. One common legal solution is developed by SEE countries on special aspects of arbitration rules. Due to regional cooperation, and assisted by international /regional experts the Arbitration Courts/ Chambers will find a common solution on amending parts of the existing arbitration rules to the latest need in the area of arbitration. A set of articles will be available to all the Chambers/Courts to be adopted. Regional Network of CLOUT Database National Rapporteurs is established. Young researchers will be in closed contact with UNCITRAL, they will get trained by UNICTRAL to draft summery of cases and prepare contributions for the CLOUT database and will be recognized by UNICTRAL as National Rapporteurs. |
