Description | The aim of the project was to strengthen CEFTA capacity to dismantle sector-specific trade barriers in selected sectors in dialogue with the private sector. The project used a four-stage approach: Analysis and selection of regional value chains, identification of priority trade barriers in selected regional value chains, development of policy recommendations and the presentation of policy recommendations to decision-making bodies. By the end of the project, the CEFTA structures in the selected sectors gained a sound, private sector-based analysis of priority trade barriers and policy recommendations to guide future action. At the same time, the representatives from the private sector are enabled to identify and communicate trade barriers to the public sector in future. |
