| Description | The EU enlargement strategy 2013-14 puts emphasis on strengthening the dialogue on economic governance with candidate countries and potential candidates. In accordance with this strategy, the beneficiaries are invited to enhance economic policy and its governance through the preparation of annual National Economic Reform Programmes and, multiannual public financial management reform action plans/programmes. Reform priorities addressed in these programmes will be underpinned by IPA assistance. In cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF)the Action will provide for targeted technical assistance for the implementation of country-specific policy guidance issued in the context of the enhanced economic governance approach. It will also support implementation of the public financial management reform priorities in the beneficiaries. |
