| Description | The action is to support the construction of energy and transport infrastructure, namely Projects of the Energy Community Interest (PECIs) and the Trans-European Transport Core Network (TEN-T core network) in the Western Balkans region. The European Commission will, via the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF), co-finance mature energy and transport infrastructure projects together with loans from the international financial institutions, as part of the Connectivity Agenda/Berlin Process. This action will be instrumental in improving connectivity within the Western Balkans, as well as between Western Balkans and the European Union, and will serve as a driver for economic growth, jobs, and new investments in the region. |
