| Description | Die Zentraleuropäische Initiative (ZEI) ist eine Internationale Organisation bestehend aus 18 Mitgliedsstaaten (10 EU-Mitgliedsstaaten und 8 Nicht-EU-Mitglieder). Die ZEI wurde 1989 als Forum zur Kooperation der ZEI-Mitgliedsstaaten untereinander, insbesondere zur Förderung der sog. Transitionsländer, gegründet. Im Zuge der EU-Erweiterung etablierte die ZEI im Jahr 2004 das Know-how-Exchange-Programme (KEP) als Instrument zur finanziellen und technischen Unterstützung. Österreich hat 2014 den ZEIVorsitz. |
