Description | Western Balkans Extremism Research Forum is a regional, UK government funded, research project on violent extremism aiming to assess dimensions of threats emanating from the Western Balkans region. It aims to enhance understanding and increase ability of the UK and its Western Balkans partners to address radicalization. The research is conducted by a team of local researchers and will address a series of questions including those about forms and threats of extremism, drivers of radicalisation, at risk communities, links to organised crime and transnational co-operation. The findings will lead into policy analysis and recommendations that will provide decision-makers with a stronger evidence-base for development of effective national counter violent extremism policies and programming responses that increase resilience to extremism. |
