Description | Rehabilitation, especially when addressing radicalised and terrorist offenders, is not optional. Our criminal justice and prison services are currently facing increasing numbers of offenders convicted of terrorism-related domestic crimes or assessed as radicalised, as well as returning foreign terrorist fighters (FTFs) from conflict areas. Most of these (prospective) prisoners will be released from prison at some point. How can they find a positive path back into society – how can they be rehabilitated? In response to this pressing question, this manual offers guidance for practitioners working to rehabilitate radicalised and terrorist offenders, both within and outside prison. It provides a comprehensive overview of the chronological phases of rehabilitation.
