Objective(s)

To contribute to citizens' understanding of the EU, its history and diversity and to encourage the democratic participation of citizens at EU level. aim of bringing the Union closer to citizens the general objectives of the Programme are:
- to contribute to citizens' understanding of the Union, its history and diversity;
- to foster European citizenship and to improve conditions for civic and democratic participation at Union level.

Key Activities

- Intercultural dialogue projects ,participation in such a project should raise awareness on the richness of the cultural and linguistic environment in Europe.
- Volunteering - Expression of Active European Citizenship- Civil society organisations, associations of a European general interest, town twinning associations and other participating organisations often rely on volunteer work to carry out and to develop their activities.
- The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe
