Having in mind importance of the Western Balkans Financial Markets Agenda and further harmonization of financial services legislation with those of the European Union, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) organizes “Technical Workshop on Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MIFID II), Western Balkan’s perspective“ which is going to be held in Podgorica on 28 February 2020.

The Workshop will take stock of the current state of play in introduction of MIFID II in each economy where this process has commenced or has been implemented. Along these lines, the participants will identify what further needs to be done to complete this process and assess the needs of economies that have not yet started this process. The meeting will also take stock of the obligations stemming from the pre-accession process for the Western Balkans’ economies and harmonization of regulation on financial services with the EU, focusing on challenges and best ways to perform the process successfully.
