The RCC National Coordinators from Southeast Europe met in Sarajevo today to discuss the regional cooperation priorities and level of harmonization of national activities and strategies with the RCC Strategic Work Programme 2008-2009 as well as with the Multi-beneficiary IPA Programme 2008 priorities.

The meeting participants received an update from the RCC Secretary General Hido Biscevic on the most recent activities of the organization, including continuation of political consultations with RCC members, further cooperation with the European Commission and the quick-start projects currently being developed with international partners. These projects aim at establishing a Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility and a Regional Firefighting Centre, as well as organizing conferences on better use of inland waterways and on improvement of air transport network in Southeast Europe.
