The 29 members of the RCC Board met for the first time at the premises of the RCC Secretariat in Sarajevo on 6 October 2008.

The Board reviewed activities of the RCC Secretariat in the period May-October 2008, in light of the quarterly report of the RCC Secretary General Hido Biscevic, and discussed future activities and projects within the RCC framework.

The RCC Board provides the organization with operational guidance and supervision. It consists of those RCC members contributing to the budget of the RCC Secretariat as well as the European Union, represented by the Troika, consisting of the EU Presidency, the European Commission and the EU Council Secretariat.

The Board meets quarterly, at the level of RCC National Coordinators, which are Senior Civil Servants in each RCC member responsible for co-ordination of RCC relevant issues within their respective national administration. It is chaired by the RCC Secretary General.
