WB Youth Lab 2 supports young regional artists by enhancing their visibility and creating opportunities for advancement through regional cooperation. By involving emerging talents in conferences and fostering dialogue, the initiative encourages cultural collaboration as a means of promoting peacebuilding, reconciliation, and intercultural understanding. In line with the EU Enlargement framework and the Western Balkans Agenda, these efforts align with RCC's Common Regional Market, particularly focusing on creative industries and artistic exchange.
To enhance political visibility and participation of young artists in the policy sector of arts and culture, the first Regional Conference on Youth Cultural Cooperation was held in Belgrade 2024. The conference highlighted the creative industries' potential in the Western Balkans, emphasizing the need to strengthen local skills and foster deeper connections with Europe's cultural sector. As a grand finale, the Stories of the Region exhibition showcased works by ten young artists from the region, offering attendees a glimpse into the vibrant creativity and cultural richness of Western Balkans youth.
