The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is gearing up for the finale of the fifth edition of the Balkathon competition on 3 October 2024 in Tirana.

This dynamic event will showcase young, bright minds from the Western Balkans as selected competitors present their cutting-edge digital ideas and solutions across various thematic topics, including Technology of Services, Green and Energy, Transport, Tourism, Agriculture and others.

Guided by regional experts, participants will refine their concepts ahead of the final showdown. During the event, a distinguished jury from the region will select wo winners from each category, awarding six winning ideas with 7.000€ each. Moreover, in an attempt to boost region’s youth the RCC will provide two additional special recognition awards to the best ranked high school teams in the amount of 4,000€ each, bringing the total award fund for Balktahon 5.0 to 50.000 EUR.
