The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is to organise a regional meeting amongst the representatives of insurance sector regulatory authorities, and insurance and reinsurance sector associations of the SEE economies on 3 December 2024, in Istanbul. 

This meeting will provide an opportunity for each delegation to share its experiences related to insurance schemes, cost calculation methods of post-disaster losses, and disaster risk insurance and risk sharing. Experts from the insurance sector and academia and representatives of insurance sector regulatory authorities from SEE economies will speak at the meeting and will share their experiences and best practices.

 
This meeting aims to initiate a Regional Network on Disaster Risk Insurance and Risk Sharing in the context of SEE2030 Strategy to facilitate discussions among SEE economies on the possibilities of extending the regional cooperation to risk sharing and exchange of experiences in disaster insurance schemes.
